Today I visited a farmer’s market that I hadn’t been to yet, the West Frederick (MD) Market. There was a steady stream of cars going in and out of the large lot. A wide variety of vendors were set up including those specializing in plants, produce, meat, bakery, raw, gluten and dairy free, gourmet desserts, and prepared foods.
I’m all set on plants and produce right now, especially since I pass Rock Hill on my way home from work. There was a farmer with fresh meat of all kinds, Danny Rohrer, and I bought a cut up chicken for $3.99/lb, along with steak burgers to try once, and a pound of bacon for this weekend’s B&B guests. Also for the guests (but there will be enough left over for us) a pack of sticky buns from the Amish baker and some burger rolls to put in the freezer for next time we need them.
